Spring Lilacs and Tea

The heady scent of the lilacs wafted through the air on a crisp spring morning. Remnants of the rain from the night dripped off the trees as she gently snipped the branches of the lilac bush. She arranged them on her kitchen table as the teakettle whistled. It was a peaceful morning routine, to wander around the garden, and take in nature’s gifts before slowly sipping her tea.
